as i had left
with no looking back
i had found
the more in me

and as i got back
i had left
the more-me
behind

people’s restored contact
dysfunctional contacting
dysfunction of all
comes with acting
cuz relating is about
real hating and loving

tryin’ to reconnect
while the disconnect
takes the leading part

cuz in this context
where one’s ecosystem
becomes one’s ego-system
these roots don’t sprout
no more

and so i’m left
with only the lonely sound
that makes its rebound
between these four walls
over and over
and over again

its a calling out
shout out loud
yet, unheard
by the world

and as i listen closely
i hear my voice vaguely
calling a name
in vain, so it seems

when i realize
it’s the same
name
as mine
