Seconds has changed our life,
Amongst us word partying had become rife,
An hour before, enjoying with all over a drink there,
And now lying down in this wreck alone out here,
With all the blood stained glass shattered criss-cross,
I could see her far across!
Grasping for my breathe,
I struggled to reach out to her, to sheathe -
My legs had gone dead,
First time in my life, I put out my hands in a plead-
“Oh God, Give me another chance -,
In the last few seconds, whole of my life came in a glance!
If not I had drunk and drove
I could have saved her and our love!!”
But, all my prayers went in a vain-
Leaving me alone to witness her in this pain!
Opening my eyes turning out to be an endeavor,
Least known, it’s going to be closed forever!!
I could hear her crying in agony far,
With tears rolling down, All I could say “Oh, dear, I am sorr….”
Conceding the people to say –
In that pool of blood, is where the drunk driver and his pregnant wife lay!!
*** PLEASE DON’T MIX DRINKING WITH DRIVING AS YOUR LIFE IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR FAMILY!! ***

beautifully expressed! often people do not realise the consequences of their actions unless they are on their near and dear ones. But by then, its often too late. A beautiful poem to express an equally beautiful message.
